Aglianico I Viaggiatori

 60,95

The 2020 Aglianico I Viaggiatori is the result of a long and careful selection process of Aglianico grapes from the more than 100-year-old vineyard. Located in the High Valley area of Paternopoli (Irpinia) at 600 meters above sea level, this vineyard houses plants up to 200 years old.

The wine is harmonious, elegant and lively. The nose is extremely complex, with secondary and tertiary notes perfectly linked, giving depth and complexity to the aroma. This Aglianico underwent a long aging in wood before bottling, bringing out its full refinement.

It is a long and persistent wine, pleasant and rich, with great sapidity and acidity, typical of the characteristics of the Aglianico from the Upper Taurasi Valley.

Joaquin’s I Viaggiatori has an intense and vibrant ruby color.

Tones of red and dark berries, brushwood, aromatic herbs, coffee, with hints of licorice and wild fennel.

On the palate, the wine is enveloping, balanced, fresh and persistent. The tannins are silky and perfectly integrated. The sip is full, the tannins are compact and there is a ripe texture. Finally, the notes observed on the nose return on the palate with the addition of sweet spices.

Serving temperature: 16-18° C

Joaquin

Joaquin aims to become an icon, in Italy and the world, of fine artisanal wine with a long evolution. To achieve this goal, Joaquin works with complete respect for the land, using precision winemaking with high technology in the vineyard and not in the cellar, choosing to take the grape varieties that have always been used in this wine region, Fiano and Aglianico, to the next level.
