On Dec. 3 at Nazka, we are hosting one of southern Italy’s most intriguing wineries for a special evening: Joaquin from Campania.

In a short time, Joaquin has become one of Italy’s most iconic wineries. Led by Raffaele Pagano, Joaquin works exclusively with single-vineyard wines, where each cuvée must fully express the terroir and character of the vintage. Only the very best wines are actually bottled.

This uncompromising approach earned Joaquin a spot in the Forbes Top 100 Most Iconic Italian Wineries and exceptional scores from the international press:
98 points from Decanter
97 points from James Suckling

Special Guest: Lorenzo Pagano

At the dinner, Lorenzo, nephew of Raffaele and the next generation of the estate, will be present in person. He shares the story behind Joaquin’s wines and heritage – from ancient vineyards on volcanic soils in Irpinia to the rare bottlings of native grapes on the island of Capri.

About Joaquin

Joaquin’s vineyards are located in Lapio, Irpinia, at an altitude of 500-550 meters. Thanks to volcanic clay and limestone soils, old vines (sometimes up to 200 years old), and strong temperature differences between day and night, wines of unprecedented minerality, tension and elegance are created here.

In the cellar, Joaquin deliberately chooses refinement: aging is often done on chestnut or acacia wood to preserve the purity of the fruit and soil. Their wines from Aglianico, Fiano, Greco and native Capri grapes are praised worldwide for their precision, depth and complexity.
