Primitivo di Manduria Bastioni della Rocca

Primitivo di Manduria

 12,95

On the coast of the Ionian Sea, in sun-drenched Manduria, the Primitivo finds its ideal home. The iron-rich, red-colored soils give the wine strength and character. After careful selection, the grapes ferment traditionally on the skins, followed by a six-month aging in oak barrels.

In the nose, refined aromas of red fruit and clove, complemented by notes of chocolate and vanilla. The finish is full and round, with a lively hint of licorice.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Bastioni della Rocca

Bastioni della Rocca was inspired by the golden era of Frederick II of Swabia, when southern Italy grew into a cultural and commercial center of the Mediterranean. The imposing castles that still dominate the landscape today symbolize a time when winemaking became a driving force of the local economy. The winery pays homage to this historical splendor, with wines deeply rooted in the identity of the South.
