In the heart of the Barolo region, in Castiglione Falletto, the Monchiero family's wine journey began in the 1950s, thanks to the work of brothers Remo and Maggiorino, who lived in the nearby village of La Morra at the time. Initially, they only sold grapes, but soon decided to start making wine themselves. Thus began the adventure, and in the 1970s, the wine was bottled and marketed: the ‘gold’ of the Langa – Barolo for foreign markets (the United States) and young wines for the Italian market.

In the 1980s, Vittorio Monchiero, Maggiorino's son, graduated from the University of Viticulture in Alba. Gradually, he became more involved in the business that his father and uncle had expanded. After marrying Daniela in the 1990s, he took over the management of the wine cellar and marketing. He travelled around the world, visited trade fairs and introduced innovations to traditional methods. Production grew steadily, partly thanks to the purchase of excellent terroirs. Vittorio and Daniela had two sons, Luca and Stefano. Currently, Daniela focuses on their bed and breakfast, while Vittorio devotes himself to winemaking.

In 2017, Luca, Vittorio's eldest son, joined the family business, while his brother Stefano chose to attend secondary school for agricultural sciences to continue the centuries-old family tradition of making Barolo. Luca focuses primarily on caring for and maintaining the vineyards, while Stefano, in addition to helping with the growth of the vines, is also responsible for designing the labels.
