Cà Dei Maghi in Valpolicella is an old family business with an enchanting name that means “house of magic” in Italian. Cà Dei Maghi is located on a picturesque hill in the village of Fumane in Valpolicella. Led by Paolo Creazzi, the winery mainly produces famous red wines, including Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone. Noteworthy, however, is also the production of white wines, a rarity in Valpolicella, such as Barabao from the Garganega grape and Camparsi from the Trebbiano. Paolo, in his own unique way, shapes these wines by finding a harmony between tradition and innovation. The result are his unique, highly rated Valpolicellas, Ripasso’s and Amarone’s, which are characterized by their juiciness and clarity. With Paolo, the essence of the grapes is central.
In the 19th century, the Fasoli Fedrigo family started their wine business in Negrar. Over a hundred years later, in the 1950s, Grandma Luigina and Grandpa Fernando decided to start producing wine at Cà Dei Maghi, where the “Rama” was also born, which now serves as their agritourism. Since then, Mari, Giovanna, Paolo and Ivana have continued the family's wine and gastronomic tradition.

Cà dei Maghi is a charming farmhouse located in the heart of the lush hills of Valpolicella, surrounded by vineyards near the centre of Fumane.
Fumane is the highest appellation in Valpolicella Classico. The soil of this region consists mainly of limestone, which is favourable for the production of fresh and elegant wines, characteristic of their style within Valpolicella.
Over the years, Cà Dei Maghi has added more vineyards to its exciting history, always with the idea in mind that the products must remain authentic: ‘Our wine is born here, on our own territory.’ An example of this is the Canova Rosso, a red wine made from grapes from these new vineyards, where the vines are less than 15 years old.

Cà Dei Maghi is currently run by Paolo Creazzi, one of the most talented winemakers of the new generation we have encountered. His extraordinary attention to detail is evident in every aspect of his winery, which is completely imbued with the theme of magic. This enchanting craftsmanship and eye for detail translates beautifully into his wines. Paolo's vineyards are equally enchanting, perched high on the hills outside the inhabited world. This natural environment is teeming with life, with hares, foxes, grasshoppers, birds and even a mysterious black goat that likes to eat grapes. Paolo continues to wonder where this enchanting visitor comes from...

“Diversity is what I look for when I produce wine, and from the outset I have been fortunate enough to find highly productive vineyards that are both very closed and very different from each other. The great grape varieties have given me the opportunity to give the classic wines of Valpolicella a precise identity and to experiment with something new every year with our IGT wines, searching for that new flavour that can make the difference. Every choice is well thought out and implies absolute dedication to detail: we cannot ignore it.”
